Winter Series Race 2: Nov 14 & 15 - Bikes & Quads

We have some exciting events planned this race weekend, including:

 

MX & QUAD Freestyle shows with Justin Hoyer and the Guetter Brothers both Saturday Nov. 14 and Sunday Nov. 15!

 

Honda Factory Rider BLAKE WHARTON will be riding and signing autographs on Saturday, Nov. 14, so be sure to check it out!

 

ATTENTION RACERS:

 

We have adjusted our schedule for the November Races, so please take note of the changes below. Also, we have opened up pre-registration at the arena the week of the event, so sign-up early and avoid the lines.

New This Season for MX Bike Races:
  • Early Registration will be accepted all week prior to the races. Wristbands will be held at the arena and can be picked up the day of the event in the Will Call line.
  • This season the Youth Registration will be limited to Youth riders or Adults that are with the Youth rider and are also racing their own classes.
  • This season we are only allowing Youth bikes in the Pits during Youth Race events.  If you are riding in the Amateur Class, please wait until the designated time to bring your bike into the Pits.
  • Be sure to check in at the front desk prior to unloading any equipment. Wristbands are required for Pits Entrance.
  • Download and print the Registration Forms for MX Bike Youth Classes and MX Bike Amateur Classes.

Attention Quad Racers: You must be 16 or older to race Amatuer classes per AMA Rules and per our Rider Network Insurance. Rider Network has sumbitted a request for an exception that, if approved, will be available Jan. 1, 2010. Once this is in place we will be able to make an exception to this rule for the remaining race season. Please watch for further updates.

TROPHIES

  • Trophies for top 33% will be provided for 50cc race classes only
  • Participation awards will be provided for non-qualifying 50cc race class riders only
  • Trophies or Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd (fixed) will be provided for all non-50cc and non-payout race classes
  • 100% Payout will be awarded to the Top 33% of the Payout Classes

  • Each racer receives 1 Free Mechanic Pit Pass per day
  • Mechanic must be present at time of registration or during wristband pick-up for Will Call orders to qualify for free pit pass
  • Transponder rentals are required and are per day - must be checked out and returned at end of event – fees will apply if not returned
  • All mechanics and racers must purchase admission and must sign all waivers

A Parent or legal guardian must be present at time of minor sign-up. If the parent or guardian will NOT be present, the minor must have a NOTARIZED release form signed by their parent or legal guardian with them the day of the event. RACE RULES

  • AMA / District 23 Rules will be enforced for all races – For a list of AMA rules, click here. Please note this is not an AMA sanctioned series or race event.
  • An AMA Membership or Amsoil Sandbox Arena Membership is not required to participate in race day events.
  • A Referee and Race Coordinator will be at each race event and must be treated with respect at all times.
  • Race results can be contested up to 30 minutes after the results are posted - after 30 minutes all results are final. 
  • All posted rules must be followed in order to participate in races or race series.
  • All Waivers and Release forms must be signed prior to participating in the race event or entering the pit area. 
  • IMPORTANT: Minors participating must have a Minor Release Form signed by their parent or legal guardian at time of sign-up OR must have a NOTARIZED release form with them the day of the event – NO EXCEPTIONS. Forms can be notarized prior to day of event. Download the form and print in color.
  • Only the racer and 1 mechanic will be allowed on the track during the race event.  Mechanic will not be allowed outside of the Mechanic’s area after the gate drops.  Any mechanic or guest of a rider that steps onto the track from the pits will result in rider disqualification – NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Parents please note: In case of injury, an ambulance crew is on site and will assess the situation. All precautions will be taken. If a serious injury has occured we will stop the race and you will the first person notified of the situation.
  • Any guest that jumps the spectator fence will result in rider disqualification from the race – NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Transponders will be required for race series scoring and will be available to rent at the facility.
  • Transponder times, data and race results will be posted online at MyLaps.com and/or SandboxArena.com after the event.
  • Wristbands are required at all times for Race Entry, Pits Entry and Admission.  Loss of wristband will result in repurchase.
  • No Outside food or drink allowed in the building.  A water jug for the racer the day of the event will be allowed in the pit area.
  • Disrespectful treatment of any Amsoil Sandbox employee or guests will result in disqualification of you/your rider and you will be asked to leave the facility.
  • Paying admission and participating in the race event deems acceptance of the above rules by rider, rider guests and spectators.
  • NEW THIS SEASON: Participants must purchase a wristband at the front desk before they will be allowed to enter the Pits with their equipment.
  • Rider will receive 1 Free Mechanic’s Pit Pass per day with their first race entry admission.  Mechanic must be present at time of registration or during wristband pick-up for Will Call orders to qualify for free pit pass.  Additional Pit Passes may be purchased at any time.
  • No Alcohol consumption allowed by any riders during the race event. Wristbands will be cut at time of serving for anyone of legal age wishing to drink.
  • Ages for all classes will be determined as of Oct. 15.
  • All Riders and Spectators will also be required to follow the Track Rules and Safety Requirements
  • The Amsoil Sandbox Arena reserves the right to change race classes the day of the event.
